Fixed Term Midday Supervisor

5 hours per week, 12noon-1pm Monday-Friday (term time only)

Fixed term until 18th July 2025 

Salary £22,737 per annum pro rata £11.79 per hour

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our friendly and caring small school. The Governors of St Joseph's School are seeking to appoint a midday supervisor.

St. Joseph's Catholic Primary School is a small, family-friendly village primary school located in a rural community. With just 45 children, this close-knit school provides a warm, nurturing environment where the Catholic ethos is at the heart of everything they do. The fantastic children and supportive community make this an excellent place to work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organise and oversee the student lunch queues
  • Assist children to collect their food and encourage healthy choices
  • Clean tables and sweep the floor
  • Supervise and encourage outside play
  • Follow the school’s behaviour policy and record any situations that arise on the playground or dining hall.
  • Engage positively with students in the dining rooms and around the school site at lunch times.

Requirements:

  • Good listening skills and empathy towards the children
  • The ability to act on your own initiative.
  • To be willing and able to work outside for some of each shift
  • To complete safeguarding training (provided online)
